Cell Phone Batteries

Cell phone battery has been improved from the last until now. Now you can get cell phone battery easily than before. The price of cell phone battery according to it quality like long life and long using time. For business man, they always choose the best quality that have long life and long using time, so they can follow up their business whole day, but for student or employee like me, maybe can choose long life cell phone battery than long using time, but all depend on you. Usually the best quality, the price is also high. Basically, there are four different types of cell phone battery:

  • Nickel Cadmium Batteries (NiCd): These are the oldest type of cell phone battery. To counter the problem of “memory effect” which lessens the life of the battery, they must be fully discharged before being recharged. This is obviously more time consuming and lessens the efficiency of the cell phone.
  • Nickel Metal Hydride Batteries (NiMH): Developed in the 1990s. These batteries are more efficient than the NiCd type. Although prone to some memory effect, they are quicker to recharge than the NiCd and have a battery life up to twice as long.
  • Lithium Ion Batteries (Li-Ion): Lithium Ion Batteries are the most popular cell phone batteries today. They are lighter than the NiMH, do not suffer from memory effect and have a 30% longer life.
  • Lithium Polymer Battery (Li-Poly): This is the newest cell phone battery technology on the market. Li-Poly batteries enable the most compact of cell phones and their lifespan is more than twice that of Lithium Ion batteries.

When purchasing an additional cell phone battery, the battery must be selected from the manufacturer, They are essentially the same type of battery, but design and technology of different cell phones require differently designed and developed batteries. Some batteries have more power if the cell phone runs more applications and programs than simply calling and storing numbers.

Cell phone charges are also different depending on brand and model. There are usually many options for cell phone chargers. Standard cell phone chargers are plug in, inexpensive, but do not charge very rapidly. Travel chargers that plug into a vehicles lighter are slightly more expensive, but charge cell phones very rapidly and are extremely convenient on the go. Desktop chargers are useful if you have an extra cell phone battery. They can charge the cell phone and the additional battery at the same time. That way you are always guaranteed a fully charged battery.

Cell phone batteries and chargers are constantly being developed to have longer life and be more powerful. Batteries will soon be introduced that charge to full capacity in minutes and last ten times longer than current batteries. As with most technology, it can change in the blink of an eye, but usually for the better.
