Good looking frame. Excellent picture quality. Clear and crisp display. Highly ‘tune-able’.
Only two ‘shortcomings’:

• The memory card slot is shared for SD, MS, etc. It wil take all four formats, but only one at a time. Not really a big problem.
• The operations are not intuitive, and I really needed to experiment for a while to figure out how to get what I wanted perfectly. Again, not a huge problem, it will do almost anything you want, but it may take you a while to figure out how.

I nevertheless gave it 5 stars, because of the excellent price! It’s considerably less than any other of comparable quality. (The high price ones usually are easier to operate)

Don’t get this for anyone who is technically totally inept, but if they could program their VCR, they can figure this out… And the quality is as good as the higher priced ones.

I think this frame is great, it’s a great little gift for someone that doesn’t have alot of room or for an office desk. I think the resolution is great and the features are great too. It’s very easy to work, I didn’t need the instruction book at all. My slideshow shows every pic on my sd card so I’m not sure what other peoples problems are when they say it only holds 10 pics. This is not true. Great deal for the price!

I was looking for a digital frame for my husbands office and decided on the NIX x08A frame based on the affordable price. It was $10 dollars less than a Kodak digital photo frame (Kodak Easyshare P730m) with the added capability of playing videos and music.

Pros:

• Frame was delivered super fast (two days) and shipping was free.
• Setups between two frames is fairly easy when using a usb flash drive. The NIX does have a remote which helps to keep fingerprints off frame. The Kodak menu is a bit more sophisticated and pretty to look at.
• I like the built in frame stand on the NIX.
• Sound is decent when playing videos. Did not try playing music on this frame.

Cons:

• The screen quality was not as vibrant as the Kodak EasyShare. I tried adjusting the contrast and brightness but the Kodak frame was just superior straight out of box.
• The buttons on the back of frame is a bit sticky and I had to push really hard before it responded.
• USB flash drive not hidden by frame. I used a 1″ flash drive and it was still visible from the front of frame.

Overall, the frame is decent for the price.

I personally own a 12″ frame and love the big size. So when it came to getting a friend a house warming gift it seemed logical to go with the BIG SCREEN!

this frame is fairly straight forward and the pro’s and con’s are:

Pros:

• big screen, with nice clear image
• easy menu system and operation
• plays video and music
• easy remote control
• big internal memory
• strong, solid build

Cons:

• Not as stylish as the 12″ nix
• If you’re after a frame that can do complex stuff like internet connection or play HD video this is not for you
• Could do with bigger speakers

if you want to play photos and video and do it simply, this is the frame for you. if you want to do photo editing etc, maybe not. overall i would definitely recommend it.

The Viewsonic Digital Photo Frame (10in) is an all-around great product for displaying those precious photos in your collection. The quality is extremely high and the cropping of photos seems to be realistic and nice. If a photo doesn’t fit the frame, the resizing tends to distort the image slightly, but much less than other products of this type.

I highly recommend the 10 in digital frames; if you are thinking between the sizes, the size difference is quite worth it. Photos are easily seen from a slight distance and the overall appearance just seems nicer.

The main downside to this frame is that it only contains a 100 MB internal memory, which, with high quality photos only holds about 100-200 photos. However, it does contain a USB port and flash memory port for loading files, and the drag-and-drop method of loading images onto the frame is simple for even the most inexperienced user.
